John Calipari matches the worst loss of his career and wishes it 'would have gone faster'

Still, the34-point drubbing at No. 7 Floridaon Saturday night matched the worst margin of defeat in Calipari's 34 years.

"Wait a minute. My first year at UMass I had to have some of these," Calipari quipped after a111-77 lossto the defending national champion Gators.

Nope. Some 30-pointers, but nothing quite like this or Kentucky's loss to Duke in November 2018. Calipari was coaching the Wildcats at the time.

"Look, I've done this so long, stuff happens," said Calipari, in his second season at Arkansas after 15 years at Kentucky, nine at Memphis and eight at UMass. "I told them, 'We had a great February. We got two games left. Let's get out of here and go.' I said it wasn't my team. This is not the team I've been coaching.

"But I did tell some guys, 'You got to do some soul searching and be honest with yourself. Why did you play the way you played?' Not a whole lot else you can do."

It was mostly a debacle all game, with Florida building a double-digit lead early, stretching it 30 midway through the second half and then celebrating at least a share of the Southeastern Conference title.

About the biggest drama was Calipari and Florida coach Todd Golden screaming at each other early in the second half and drawing double-technicals. Calipari's assistants had to pull him away from midcourt. Golden, meanwhile, turned and started to rile up the home crowd.

Both coaches said they couldn't even recall what started the exchange.

"Who knows? We're both competitors," Calipari said. "He's done a great job. I can tell you: He outcoached me today."

No. 20 Arkansas (21-8, 11-5 SEC) lost for just the second time in February. Seven Florida players scored in double figures while the Gators outrebounded the Razorbacks 51-31 and controlled the paint throughout.

"It was going to come back to our will versus their will," said Calipari, who had won his previous six trip to Gainesville. "And if you stop playing, they keep moving their feet and put you in bad positions. And they did that to us a bunch. We had some opportunities to rebound. They just beat us to a ball. … They outrebound us by 20. Come on. You're not going to win that game. You're not.

"I wish it would have gone faster."

Billy Richmond III led the Razorbacks with 22 points, including 14 in the first 15 minutes. Darius Acuff Jr., who leads the SEC in scoring and assists, finished with 17 points and six assists.

But forwards Travon Brazile, Nick Pringle and Malique Ewin spent much of the night in foul trouble while trying to defend Florida's formidable frontcourt of Thomas Haugh, Alex Condon and Rueben Chinyelu.

"They're not afraid to throw you around," Calipari said of Florida. "That's how they play. If you're avoiding their contact, you can't play in this game. And we had a bunch of guys try to go sideways and then come back and back and back. You can't play that way."

Strong second half by Jestin Porter powers Clemson past No. 24 Louisville

Powered by Jestin Porter's 16 points, Clemson came away with an 80-75 win over visiting Louisville on Saturday afternoon in Atlantic Coast Conference play.

The win ended Clemson's losing streak at four and gave the Tigers (21-8, 11-5 ACC) their second victory against a ranked opponent this season.

Porter scored all of his points after halftime and made four three-pointers.

Ace Buckner collected a season-high eight rebounds off the Tigers bench. RJ Godfrey scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Tigers.

For the Cardinals (20-9, 9-7), Ryan Conwell extended his double-digit scoring streak to 22 games as he scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting.

Louisville's leading scorer on the season, Mikel Brown Jr., came off the bench for the second time this season due to a back injury. He scored a season-low five points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field and a season-worst 0-for-6 from three-point range.

After a driving layup in the second half, Brown grimaced coming up the court. He left the game at the 16:12 mark and returned to action at the 13:12 mark. However, he played only five more minutes after that and exited the game for good at the 8:40 mark.

Adrian Wooley started the game for Brown and scored 17 points for Louisville with three three-pointers, tying a season-high in conference play.

To begin the second half, Clemson went on a 10-4 run to build its lead to nine points.

Louisville had held Clemson scoreless for two and a half minutes, but a Porter layup followed by an immediate steal led to a three-pointer that ended the drought and increased Clemson's lead to 11 points as the Littlejohn Coliseum fans in attendance rose to their feet.

Coming into the game, Louisville was second in the ACC in free-throw percentage at 77.8%. They shot a season-low 58% from the foul line Saturday.

The Cardinals were fifth in three-point percentage at 36.1% and first in three pointers made per game going into Saturday's matchup, when they went 10-for-36 from three-point range and missed 24 out of their final 28 three-point attempts after starting the game 4-for-6 from three.

In the final minute of the game, Louisville went on a quick 16-4 run to get the Clemson lead from a game-high 15 points all the way down to four. Wooley scored 11 of his 17 points during that time frame.

However, Buckner made four free throws in the final 15 seconds to keep Louisville at bay long enough for the clock to hit zero.

After Sen. Ted Cruzshared a photo of himselfwith Quaid aboard Air Force One on social media on Friday, journalist Yashar Ali shared the same photo on Threads, prompting Holly to offer her two cents in the replies.

"At least I got to slap him real hard inAny Given Sunday,"wrotethe actress, who had a strained onscreen marriage with Quaid in the 1999 football drama.

Holly also responded to avideo of Quaidsaying "I love Donald Trump" during a public appearance with the president in Corpus Christi, Tex., on Friday.

"It's crazy to me at this point," Hollywrote.

The actress also endorsed and replied to a post labeling Quaid a fascist. "Watching @laurenholly comment on all the Dennis Quiad capitulation is top tier @threads energy. Make fascists uncomfortable by any means possible…" a user wrote.

"Any means…." Hollyresponded.

Representatives for Quaid did not immediately respond toEntertainment Weekly's request for comment.

Prior to the Corpus Christi event, Cruzshared a videoof Quaid seated at a table with Trump on Air Force One.

"I'd like to ask President Reagan what you think of President Trump," the Texas senator says in the clip.

Quaid, who portrayed Ronald Reagan in the 2024 biopicReagan, slipped into character as the 40th U.S. president. "I think he's like me on steroids, actually," he said of Trump in his Reagan voice.

"An historic conversation on AF1 between TWO great American Presidents…." Cruz wrote in his caption.

Quaid previously said heplanned to vote for Trumpin the 2024 election. "As president, the only thing I liked about Trump was everything he did," theRookiestar said onPiers Morgan Uncensored. "People might call him an a--hole, but he's my a--hole."

No. 16 Texas Tech hands No. 4 Iowa State first home loss

Every time Iowa State began to gain any semblance of second-half momentum Saturday, Texas Tech had an answer.

Whether it was a 3-pointer on one end, a block on the other or just stingy work on the defensive backboards, the Red Raiders simply refused to buckle to what has been dubbed Hilton Magic.

The result was another significant victory against a foe ranked No. 6 or higher this season, 82-73, which also marked the Cyclones' first home loss of the season.

Donovan Atwell scored 18 points, hitting six 3-pointers, Luke Bamgboye delivered his best game since stepping in as a starter for the injured J.T. Toppin with 13 points and Christian Anderson navigated second-half foul trouble to score 12 points and dish out seven assists as No. 16 Texas Tech (22-7, 12-4 Big 12) moved into a tie for second place in the conference with Houston.

The Red Raiders are 3-0 since losing Toppin, the 2025 Big 12 Player of the Year, to a season-ending knee injury.

No. 4 Iowa State (24-5, 11-5) got 22 points from Joshua Jefferson and 20 from Milan Momcilovic, but couldn't quite dig out of a hole that grew as deep as 45-25 late in the first half.

The Cyclones crept back within 65-59 with 7:08 to play on Tamin Lipsey's dribble-drive bucket and the capacity home crowd was at a full-throat roar.

That rally came after Iowa State was unable to chip away at a 16-point deficit despite Anderson getting tagged with his fourth foul right before the first media timeout of the second half and heading to the bench for nearly 6 minutes.

Jaylen Petty and Tyeree Bryan stepped up with Anderson sidelined, sharing the lead guard responsibilities and scoring a combined 17 points in the second half.

More importantly, Petty helped Texas Tech regain its footing after the Cyclones made their run. He pulled up for a timely 3-pointer and moments later hit a mid-range jump shot late in the shot clock. Both buckets came after Bamgboye blocked shots at the rim.

Atwell sank his final 3 with 4:47 remaining, and Bryan finished a 10-0 run with a driving layup to push the lead to 75-59, leaving Iowa State unable to recover.

Atwell's big day from beyond the arc helped the Red Raiders finish 14 of 29 from deep against one of the Big 12's best defenses.

Conversely, the Cyclones struggled to make shots from anywhere most of the game and finished at 39% overall (23 of 59), including 8 of 24 from 3-point territory. Jefferson and Momcilovic combined to connect on 13 of 28 field-goal attempts.

Iowa State clawed back into the game by cranking up its defense, especially on Anderson, in the second half. The Cyclones forced 10 turnovers in the second half, which led to 12 points the other way. Iowa State scored 17 points off turnovers in all.

Sparked by Atwell's 15 points, Texas Tech held a comfortable 45-29 lead at halftime. The Red Raiders made five of their final eight 3-pointers after a 3 of 10 start and knocked down 10 of 11 shots from inside the arc with 11 assists on 18 made field goals.

Jefferson and Momcilovic each notched 13 points to help the Cyclones outscore Texas Tech 44-37 in the second half, but the Red Raiders had enough in the tank to hold on for another huge NCAA Tournament resume-boosting triumph.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Kylie, 33, says she and Jason, 38, "have discussed" letting their girls —Finnley, 11 months;Bennett, 3;Elliotte, 4; andWyatt, 6 — one day use platforms like Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok, to name a few.

"We are really the first generation that's had access to social media for as long as we have, and during our developmental years, so we are big proponents ofnot allowing our kids to have that, especially when they're young," Kylie explains of herself and her husband.

"I think it's our job as parents to let our kids be kids," she continues. "Kids are meant to play. They aren't meant to be taking on the weight of the world or deal with comments online, or feel that they're not living up to this aesthetic lifestyle they see."

Adds the mom of four: "So in an effort to protect our girls, I think we will make a conscious effort to make sure they get to play and enjoy life, and really, truly lean into being kids."

While Kylie is appreciative of the joys that social media can bring, she is also aware that it has a dark side and can sometimes be a "black hole."

"Social media can be so disappointing, because there are so many ways that it doesn't show the true scope of things, and it's not a full scope of what happens," theNot Gonna Liepodcast host says.

"People can post these beautiful things, and then you think, 'Oh, that's not what my life looks like,' and suddenly someone is down on themselves about the fact that their life isn't as aesthetic," Kylie continues.

"It also allows the opportunity for people to become keyboard warriors and post comments and messaging that otherwise would not get to the person that they're commenting on."

Kylie is one to lead by example when it comes to uplifting her four young children. She tells PEOPLE she doesn't letnegative thoughtsaffect how she talks about herself, because she knows her girlslook up to her as a role model.

"I really try my best to make sure that I speak positively about myself, even on the days that I don't necessarily feel it," Kylie, who continues her ongoing partnership withDovethrough a commercial that aired during the2026 Super Bowl, explains.

"You can say it as much as you want, but we're still human, so there are days when I find myself leading by example for our girls, recognizing, like, 'You know what? I might not feel that way right now, but it is how Ishouldbe talking about myself,' " she continues.

According to Kylie, "Motherhood has forced me into the idea that I do need to make sure that I'm speaking positively about myself."

"Becausemaking sure that girls are confidentnot only sets them up to be happier, but they will also have a more joyful feeling in life, ... and that joy can drown out the other mess," she further explains.

FIFA wants 'all teams participating' at World Cup after U.S. attack on Iran

FIFA secretary general Mattias Grafstrom said his organization is focused on all teams participating at the 2026 World Cup in the wake of the United States' military strikes on Iran.

The U.S.launched missile attackson Iran on Saturday, Feb. 28, with PresidentDonald Trumpcalling the mission a "major combat operation."

Iran has retaliated with attacks on U.S. air bases in the Gulf region, including in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain.

The clash between the United States and Iran comes just months before Iran is scheduled to travel to the U.S. for the World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Iran was drawn into Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt and New Zealand. Team Melli is scheduled to play two group stage games in Los Angeles (June 15 and 21) and one in Seattle (June 26).

In the immediate aftermath of the U.S. attacks on Iran, Grafstrom said that FIFA is monitoring the situation but remains optimistic that the World Cup will go forward with Iran as planned.

"I read the news [about Iran] this morning the same way you did," Grafstrom said at the International Football Association Board's annual general meeting in Cardiff, Wales, on Saturday.

"We had a meeting today and it is premature to comment in detail, but we will monitor developments around all issues around the world.

"We had the finals draw in Washington in which all teams participated, and our focus is on a safe World Cup with all the teams participating.

"We will continue to communicate as we always do with three [host] governments as we always do in any case. Everybody will be safe."

Visitors from Iran are already set to be barred from entering the United States for the World Cup. Iran was among 19 countries included in atravel banthat the Trump administration announced in June.

In December, Iran Football Federation president Mehdi Taj warned that some national team players and staff may also be denied U.S. visas for the World Cup due to their military background.

Several Iran national team players have served in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite branch of the Iranian military that the U.S. government has designated as aforeign terrorist organization.

TheU.S. State Department has not ruled out the possibilitythat some Iranian players could see their visas denied.
