It's time for the 2026 spring season's first Flag Football Super 25!
Flag football's spring season is a little staggered - Florida is getting close to crowning state champions, while states like New York are still getting into the groove of their season - but right now, they're all out there on the field.
Florida, of course, continues their domination of the national field, led by Seminole Ridge at No. 1 as it gets ready for the 3A state semifinals. There have been a few surprises from the Florida state tournament so far - defending champs Alonso falling to Lennard right before the 4A semifinals, for example - but many of the state's usual elite still populate the top of this list. Tennessee, New York, New Jersey, and Mississippi are among the other spring states making their own waves, each fielding strong teams that are moving up and into the rankings.
Super 25 flag football selection process
In partnership with theNFL, the teams are determined by a USA TODAY Network selection committee of editors and writers in the participating, officially sanctioned states—Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Mississippi, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington—and the USA TODAY High School Sports staff.
The process considers factors ranging from last year's results, carryover into this season, and a primary focus on 2026 records and overall performance. A team's state ranking influences its national placement, a process that allows editorial expertise and objectivity to blend with the ever-present subjectivity.
